Mango Apple

My second batch of kefir water finished.  I tried it with mangoes and apples, which worked out pretty well.  However, I love mangoes so I don't know how I could botch that.

The recipe:

4 mango slices
4 apple slices
1/3 cup kefir grains
4 cups water
1/3 cup organic cane sugar
1 tbsp organic turbinado sugar

Mix the sugar into the water before adding the grains.  Let sit for 48 hours.  I wanted more carbonation so I put it in the refrigerator with a tight lid after I strained the grains out of it.

I eat the fruits after each batch finishes, too.  The mango was surprisingly wonderful!  The fruit was carbonated inside and it had a nice zing to it.
